Swinging Baby

We took Claire to the park today. We took her last year and tried to get her to swing. She hated it. We decided to try again. As you can see from the pic she loved it, until we pushed her to high. Then panic set in and she quickly gave us the all done sign. Love that baby girl!

Pudding anyone?

For the last couple of days, any time the fridge is opened Claire would go over and pull our a pudding cup. I would tell her she could have one after dinner and put it back in the fridge. I would then forget all about the pudding cup and telling her she could have one. Well this continued for a couple of days. I guess she got tired of me forgeting. Yesterday she waited until Mark was home and then got a pudding cup out and took it to him saying "YUM". I made him tell her the same thing that she could have it after dinner. Unlike me, he didn't forget. After she had eaten dinner Dada went and got her a pudding out of the fridge. As you can see from the picture she enjoyed it. As did her highchair, and pants. Needless to say she went straight into the tub after the pudding.

Our Hole/Home!

This was our beautiful weed filled lot! Doesn't it just scream "Welcome Home"? It doesn't look like that anymore. They officially started the building process today. They are digging today and putting the footings in tomorrow. I'm not exactly sure what footings are but I am excited for them to be put in. HOORAY!!

Claire and the hose

Yesterday we were out in the working in the yard. It was so hot. Little Claire's cheeks were super rosy. Mark decided to turn on a sprinkler for us to run through. I helped Claire run through it a couple of times, but she didn't like it. So I decided to take the sprinkler head off the the hose. I thought she might like just being able to stick her toes in the water. She wasn't so sure about that either so we let her hold the hose. She loved it! She kept sticking her fingers in the water so it would splash and laughing. Then she realized she could spray down Mama. I was soaking wet. She chased me all over spraying me and laughing like crazy. I don't know why she didn't spray down Dada. It was so much fun. She is our little water baby.
laughing as she tries to spray Mama.

WATCH OUT HERE SHE COMES!!!

Cookie dough thief

Claire is now tall enough to reach things on the counter if they are left too close to the edge. Something I will need to get use to. The other day I was making cookies. When I heard Claire saying "MMMMMMM!" in a very dramatic way. I looked over to see her sitting on the fireplace with the beater, sucking the leftover cookie dough off of it. It was so cute I took pictures. I am going to have to remember to slide everything away from the edge of the counter.

Kitties

Claire has developed a love for Kitties. I am not sure why. She got a book for Christmas that had a picture of a kitty in it at first she didn't pay much attention to the kitty, but suddenly one day she noticed it and ever since has been in love. Since learning that a kitty says Meow it is her favorite word. When asked what does the kitty say? She answers with "EEE-OWWW" Now everything says e-ow. The baby says e-ow, a doggy says e-ow, and the bee no longer says bzzzz it now says e-owzzzz. The other day Claire was sitting on Mark's lap while he was on the computer. He pulled up a video of a kitty on you tube. She LOVED it. She was laughing hysterically at that kitten. Now she whenever she watches it she laughs. I thought it was so cute that I recorded her laughing at the kitty. Usually she laughs more, but when she saw the camera she got distracted. I also tried to get her to tell us what the kitty says, but she just kept trying to grab the camera. Maybe one day I'll get it on film. The sound is a couple seconds behind for some reason.

Treehouse Children's Museum.

Today we took our first trip to the Treehouse Childrens Museum. It was so fun! Claire loved it there. Usually when we go somewhere we are constantly telling her "NO, don't touch that." But here she could run and touch everything. I think her favorite room was the music room. She didn't want to leave it. For some reason she was determined to play the highest xylophone. As you can see from the picture. There were so many more that would have been easier to reach. She was so excited to sit at all the little tables. She loved being able to get on the chairs all by herself. They are perfect Claire size. We made a feather necklace. Dressed up for a tea party, well I wore a hat Claire kept taking the bunny ears off. We then visited the Oval office. Where Claire became President for a couple minutes. When I took the pic of her on the desk she tried to smile, which looks more like she is scowling to me. I think is cute that she recognizes the camera and knows mama wants a smile. After she resigned her post as commander and chief, we continued through the rest of the exhibits. I think Mark and I had just as much fun as she did. There was so much stuff to do and see. I think it will be fun to go again. Once she gets a little older, she can participate in the craft time. They were making puppets today. I think we are going to sign up for a membership. That way we can go all the time.

After all the fun at the Treehouse, we went to Sandy's for lunch. I think it is my favorite place to go. It has the old fashioned feeling. Not to mention the food is delicious. It was a good saturday.

And just for fun I am adding one more pic of Claire. We took a these a couple of days ago. I just love this one. Notice the noodles stuck to her chest. She is determined to feed herself with a spoon. It equals one extra messy baby.
